After application and recommendation, formal review, meeting demonstration review, on-site inspection, and provincial people's government approval and other procedures, 10 major projects of the 2021 Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation of "Revelation and Command" are to be established, and the publicity period is until January 14. 

The 10 projects to be established this time include research on high-quality gene mining and utilization of Hunan's dominant crops, source blocking and precise repair mechanism of heavy metal multi-media transmission, molecular etiology of major diseases and basic research on precision medical applications. The projects also include research on the theoretical methods and core technologies of deep-sea mineral resources mining, research on key technologies in the design and manufacture of high-end intelligent ultra-precision grinding equipment, and key technologies in batch preparation of key catalytic materials for hydrogen energy devices. The rankings to be announced include not only universities such as Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, and Hunan Agricultural University, but also medical institutions such as Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and the Second Xiangya Hospital, as well as Hunan Institute of Meteorological Sciences and Changsha Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. Company, HIgentec Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and other scientific research institutes and enterprises. 

In March 2021, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Provincial Department of Finance released the topics for the 2021 Provincial Natural Science Foundation Major Project Unveiling List. Among them, the major livelihood projects mainly focus on the long-term problems faced by the province's biological seed industry and other fields, break through technical bottlenecks, and provide solutions; the cutting-edge technology projects mainly focus on the front end of the industrial innovation chain such as artificial intelligence perception and sensing, and carry out Frontier leads basic research and applied basic research, and strives to provide theoretical methods and key technical support for the development of emerging advantageous industries in Hunan Province.
